Sorry, I was a bit of an absent blogger last week, was a bit of a quiet week really so there wasn't that much to be said!
So to round off last week, work got a little bit more interesting. I sat in on a marketing meeting, which was really interesting and then I spoke to the global head of HR and she said that she's got some stuff that I might be able to work on this week, so fingers crossed I'll be a bit busier. Although today, I had nothing to do all day!
Friday evening, I went to the DVD shop, 10 Dvds for £8. A bargain to be had I think! And then I went to a Middle Eastern restaurant where I had a chicken pitta and some chips, very yummy, and I thought of it as my replacement Nandos! When I was there they gave me this book, and its like a takeaway menu but for loadssss of restaurants and they all deliver! Even McDonalds! I think this needs to come to the UK, McDonalds delivery on a hangover day would be amazing!
On Saturday the weather was miserable, and I was feeling a bit the same way, so I headed to the gym and then went over to Simons for the evening. They were out but I played around with Nats, had some wine, watched some TV and had a good nights sleep in a proper bed!!
Sunday, was much nicer weather so me and Natalie played around in the garden, then they went off to the pool but I had to go to Chinese class. This weeks topic was talking to taxi drivers, ironic seen as though I got majorly ripped off by one on Saturday!! I didnt feel very well yesterday, think I picked up a bit of a tummy bug so after Chinese class I went home to bed! Another early night tonight I think!
Can't believe I'm into my fourth week already! Exactly four weeks tomorrow and I'll be packing up and heading home! That's scary! Think I need to work out what else I want to do while I'm here and make sure I fit everything in. Yes, think its time to stop moping around and make the most of my time left!
That's if I don't get eaten alive by bugs. I'm currently totalling about 30 bug bites, and yet to find repellent in the shops!! (an itch reminded me to moan about that too!)
xxx
Very ironic that the Chinese lesson is about taxi drivers! I hope you manage better next time but think that if they decide to be awkward there's nothing you can do.
ReplyDeleteThe takeaway idea sounds great and would be completely revolutionary over here!
Four weeks will go in a flash and I can't wait to see you but make the most of your time there while you can.
Take care darling, Lots of love xx
Hi there flea girl! No need to apologise for bring 'an absent blogger', I will accept your excuses...this ONCE!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering how long you would be able to keep your shopping habit under control, 3 weeks, I'm very impressed!
I agree the takeaway idea sounds great..as long as it wasn't delivered by tuk tuk, it would be stone cold when it arrived otherwise..now I think about it it would be quite like the Hazel Grove McDonalds drive-thru!
Hope you are feeling better soon, take care and have fun xx
